What to Expect

Publishing Partner is a hands-on, collaborative program for authors who want to remain actively involved in developing their book without having to manage the entire publishing process themselves. We work together on your book’s strategy, positioning, manuscript, and direction, while I take a more active role in coordinating and managing the production and publishing process.

You remain the author and an active participant in the development of your book, but you won’t be left to figure out formatting, production, publishing requirements, and the many details involved in getting a professional book to market on your own.

Manuscript scope: Up to 50,000 words
Production: Publishing and production support is included as described in the program
Author participation: You remain actively involved in manuscript development, reviews, approvals, and key publishing decisions
ISBNs, publishing platform fees, printing, distribution, and other third-party costs: Paid separately by the author

Darlene has MUCH to offer small business owners, regardless of whether they are just starting out or have been around for years. She has owned several types of businesses herself and has both broad experience and a unique approach to offer. Moreover, her style is refreshing. She doesn’t waste your time! She zeroes-in on the issues and talks-turkey to help the business owner confront the barriers to greater success. Darlene was a board member for two nonprofit organizations that I served as a consultant. I’ve seen her work in numerous settings and absolutely trust her judgment.
